Learning Disabilities Association of America 56th Annual International Conference

Potentia Academy teachers with keynote speakers Anne Ford and John-Richard Thompson at the Learning Disabilities Association's 2019 national conference. 

Ms. Ford and Mr. Thompson shared a highly inspirational presentation on the journey of Ms. Ford's daughter, who is a role model for the possibilities of independent living despite the grim diagnoses of "experts." 

Anne Ford is an author, parent, and advocate. She served as Chairman of the Board of the National Center for Learning Disabilities from 1989 to 2001. Ms. Ford has received many honors for her work. She has co-authored five books with John-Richard Thompson. Together they have traveled the country to bring their message of advocacy to corporations, parent organizations and schools.

John-Richard Thompson is an author and award-winning playwright and theater director, with numerous New York City productions. He has received numerous awards for his work.
